Upper 60's to 80's
We were once again treated to a morning of cloud cover with a few threats of showers in the afternoon. The storm was actually on our tail all day, growing dark from time to time. It was a climbing day, starting at mile 2. Short steep climbs, longer gradual climbs, and all sorts in between. We crossed into Wisconsin. Dairyland! And lots of dairy farms to prove it. After first SAG in Dickeyville there was a brief stop at the grotto. Lots of photos were taken of the amazing craftsmanship and then we were off, back to climbing. Second SAG crushed our dreams of fresh cheese curds when we found the factory had closed. A little peanut butter would have to do. Everyone arrived home for the night just before the storm, but we really didn't escape it, we were caught at dinner and it rained all night.
