We left Moline on a bike path, where we spent most of the morning. In and out amongst the trees. Along the river. It was pretty flat the first 50ish miles all the way to second SAG. There, we were greeted by thousands of mayflies celebrating their day of life. Back on the bike we headed for Clay, the road that caught the attention of all. Up he went, straight up to the ridge. The views were amazing. It rolled up and down. It climbed, and descended into Galena. (A historic little town tucked behind floodgate walls.) Home for the night is just 3 miles UP the rode.
