Weather: Awesome to a bit warm
Sounds perfect. Today was dog day… Get off the couch! Get in the truck! Go home! Cute doggie… They used them all. A whistle works nicely too. They came in all sizes and speeds. Barking from their porch, running to their imaginary fence line, chasing down the street. There were lots of dogs. Luckily I have no specific dog to talk about. Today could also be known for Twofer Flats. Barry had two in the first 6 miles. Jarret was jealous, had his two, plus a tire replacement before SAG. Neither let a flat get them down and just pedaled on through the day. An impromptu SAG set in a beautiful Town Square including a Fire and Police Station, a hair salon, hardware store, a pizza joint where Jeff and Barry dad pizza and two diet cokes for $5.85, OutsideIN, and a park.
OutsideIN actually found us, resting in the park, curious as to what we were doing and sharing their story. This company brings marginalized women from the “Outside” “In” to the community. It’s women helping women. Re-purposing donated t-shirts into other designer garments. It’s more than a boutique, it’s a workplace with mentors and a curriculum leading women to better jobs and stable lives.
