We left Memphis quietly out past Pyramid Arena, (former home of the Memphis Grizzlies, soon to be Bass Pro Shop), crossing the Wolf River, we rode thru Mudd Island Park, once again along the Mississippi River, joining the MRT. the “Don’t Miss” left on Ransey Rd. teated all to a beautiful tree lined road. I am sad to report the awesome rooster that has greeted us for many seasons, is no longer with us. The brownies, however, were a hit, After leaving the SAG the road begins to wave t little more. All the warnings of a treacherous down hill failed to deliver. The road regraded, repaved, and signed. It now makes the list for short & sweet descends.
SAG 2 An abandoned store on Jamestown Rd. has been reopened! The perfect spot on the shaded porch for a Coke. Things are warming up. Once out of the trees we find ourselves in farmland, corn and wheat today, but we are coming into the land of the Ripley Tomato, hoping dinner has some.
