Cycling Date: Thursday 15-October-15
Mileage: 48 miles
Weather: Fall. Mid 40s & clear to start. 60 and sunny to end
Highlights of the day:
Crisp clear fall day made even better with the fact that we have found color! It’s not quite peak yet but it is getting close. Bright reds, yellows, and oranges with enough deep green left to make the colors pop. It was just stunning, especially with the bright blue background.
The hills today also allowed us to slow down and enjoy the scenery all the more. We have headed inland and into New Hampshire hills. Some steep with lots of repeats. If I am to believe my Garmin, we touched some double digits along the way. The riders are commenting that they are tired. I think I know why!
Our SAG stop was the Veterans Memorial Park on Naticook Lake. More great color and photo ops. We rode into Manchester this afternoon. Visited a bike shop. Thanked Mother Nature for another stunner. And then called it day.
