Cycling Date: Saturday 18-October-14
Mileage: 42 miles
Weather: Low 50s and cloudy to start. Mid 60s and sunny to end. No wind to speak of.
Highlights of the day:
We rolled out early to grab breakfast on the road. It was overcast and chilly. Winds were light and in our favor. It was our last day on the road for this tour. We had more Maine rollers to start and then a little more downhill towards the coast to flatter (emphasis on the –er) terrain. The leaves were out in the full color and we continued to ooh and aah for the ride into the hotel.
Both foliage tours have been great experiences. Fun Cyclists. Great weather (except for one rainy day). Great scenery. A challenging climb or two. Good food. Good conversation. It was a very pleasant way to end the America by Bicycle 2014 cycling season. We look forward another great season in 2015 and hope to see you with us on the road soon.
