Topeka, KS to St. Joseph’s, MO
Today, our riders left Kansas and entered their sixth state when they crossed the Missouri River. As we were leaving Topeka, we were visited by one of the local police officers who had see us loading and stopped by. It was nice to chat with a bicycle friendly person, who undeerstands what our riders are going through.
The ride was dry, with a gentle breeze that pushed them along. One concern was possible flooding by the Missouri River, but that didn’t materialize, so it was off to the rollers of Missouri. Along the way, we continued to ride country roads that gave many scenic views.
At the hotel, we were visited by an original ABB rider, who just happened to see some of our riders passing by and decided to come in to say hello
Tomorrow they will get to rest and recuperate from the high mileage of the last two days.
Come back and see how they did.
